Introduction
To strengthen the cooperation between the biotechnology firms and academic mechanism, and integration the resource of industry, academic, and research units for promoting and accelerating the development of Taiwan biotechnology industry, Taiwan Biotechnology Industry Alliance was established on February 4, 2010, and Dr. Dai Chien, Chair Professor of Kun Shan University, was selected as chairman.
The Alliance’s development policies can be divided into three stages:
At the short-term stage, to help the bio-firms to develop the new technology plan, such as clinical trial program of plant new drugs, the marketing plan for the emerging health food etc.
At the medium-term stage, to provide the training on the job and freshmen pre-employment education in term of enhancing the knowledge level of Taiwan’s biotechnology industry.
And the final stage, to root in the local area and sustainable development; to assist the industry to expand overseas markets; to create the high-quality brand; and to enhance the core competence of biotechnology field.
